Other Parts of the Face

Refer a Patient
Male custom silicone hemi-facial prosthesis
For patients requiring extensive replacement of a larger area of the face, a face prosthesis restores a more natural appearance and protects delicate inner tissues and mucus membranes from exposure.

Other parts of the face are categorized into 4 distinct types of prostheses:
  1. Mid-facial - a prosthesis replacing the nose and any part of the cheek
  2. Hemi-facial -  when the nose, cheek and orbit are all involved
  3. Upper-facial - involves the orbit and cheek
  4. Partial-facial - refers to any part of the face needing restoration but does not involve the nose or orbit

Prosthetic retention, which is how the prosthesis attaches to the patient's remaining anatomy, may be achieved through the use of skin-safe adhesives, anatomical retention, surgical implants, or a combination of these methods.
