Cas O'Neal, BFA
Anaplastology Intern

Cas is a 2022 graduate of UNC School of the Arts. While studying at UNCSA, she focused primarily on props fabrication and painting. During her senior year, Cas and her class worked with a local hospital to make custom prosthetics to assist in training healthcare professionals. After years of struggling to figure out where the intersection between arts and health sciences was, it was clear that medical prosthetics was the answer.

After graduating with her BFA, Cas went on to work at a regional theater in Maine as a theatrical props and prosthetics fabricator, all while continuing to study in preparation for joining the field of anaplastology and ocularistry. Cas is very happy to see that the hard work has paid off and is enjoying learning more about osseointegrated prostheses, in particular.

When not at work and when the weather is cooperative, Cas loves to explore local trails, fish and kayak. She‘s also a very dedicated pet-parent to her cat, Mango.
